Wildflowers on the Run

While running along the Gaines Ranch trail, I spotted these lovely flowers in big bunches. They were everywhere. Since I didn't have my camera with me and because they were so plentiful, I decided to pick a few on my way back. They are Senna lindheimeriana otherwise known as Velvet leaf senna or Puppy-dog ears. I dropped them in some water and took a few photos and upon zooming in realized that there was a caterpillar! This lovely fella blends right in. Enjoy!
