I can't lasso my way out of the week from hell.
This weekend was a complete and utter waste of studying. I had an "essay" quiz today in Torts and my response was an absolute trainwreck. I knew the law cold when I went in and upon reading the fact pattern, I subsequently forgot everything that I knew and managed to draft the most unorganized essay ever. I felt like I was arguing my points parallel to beating a dead horse or beating all around the bush but never once hitting the bird in the bush. It was awful. All I can hope for at this point, is that everyone else did just as poorly as I did in their panic to answer within the 40-minute time constraint. The whole time I was thinking - rush rush rush - you have to finish! Ah crap! I have 10 minutes and I've only covered three of five elements! AAAAHHHHHH!!!! What was the 4th element again?? SHIITE!!!! What was the rule of foreseeability? Was the criminal act a superseding cause? Poof! What did I just ask myself?? 5 minutes!!! Wrap it up! Yeah. I was going good until I had 10-minutes left and then everything went to hell. Sucks. Now, the pressure is really on to do well on the final so that I don't fail and have to take the class again or potentially flunk out of law school altogether.
Sigh.
Guess I better cut the whining short and focus on the effin 10-page office memorandum that's due TOMORROW on a dogbite/landlord liability case of which there are no cases on point and I haven't even really started writing. And if I finish at a decent hour tonite, I might read and brief the cases that are due tomorrow in CivPro and Property and if I were wonderwoman, I would start preparing for the quiz in CivPro on Thursday.
I HATE LAW SCHOOL.
