Sedona: a little mountain bike heaven on earth

Today S& I arrived back in Boston from our Spring Break retreat to Sedona. It was by far the BEST vacation ever. We spent a few days at a beautiful B&B that had the most amazing views. We watched the sun rise over the red rocks from our bedroom window every morning at 6:21 and enjoyed a specially prepared gourmet breakfast. After breakfast we hit the trails. The trails were so awesome. Wicked fast, twisty, technical, something for everyone. All trails were connected within a massive trail system so you could seriously ride for hours on just about any hiking trail. I've never seen anything like it. Usually a lot of trails are designated for hikers only in national forests so it was a very exciting discovery to learn that there were so many trails to bike. After a long day on the trails, we finished the day by working out the soreness in our tired legs with a jacuzzi soak or a massage. We ate authentic mexican food and drank margaritas EVERY day. You know the margaritas are good when they have a list of 18 tequilas to choose from ranging in price from $5.50 to $21! Plus they were made with fresh sweet & sour not a mixer. We had such a fabulous time that we're planning to make it an annual trip. Everything was incredible. Hopefully we can keep it a secret for a little while longer. Word has it that Sedona is going to be the next MOAB.
