Musee de Louvre

We began our second day in Paris with breakfast sandwiches of ham and gruyere on fresh crossaints from the bakery just down the street. AMAZING. After breakfast, we walked to the Metro and headed to the Musee du Louvre. We started at the entrance but didn't go in. We decided early on that we were not going to visit any of the museums on this trip since we weren't going to be in Paris very long. So, we walked around the courtyard and grounds admiring the gardens and sculptures and enjoying the ambiance. The architecture and sculptures were simply breathtaking. The weather was perfect. Sunny and warm enough for a "citron" ice cream. We walked to the Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Élysées, the Tuileries Gardens, and the Eiffel Tower and fell in love with the beauty of the City.
