$13/lb

Wow. It's been awhile since I've blogged. So I guess I'll just start rambling and see what happens from here. Just this morning, I went shopping for this semester's books. Lucky me. I walked to the T and rode in to the shop. What was I thinking? I know. I wanted to save $15 in parking fees and avoid the mayhem of downtown Boston traffic - if I could even find my way there. Anyway, the walk home was excruciating. It's one of the most humid days of the year and I'm loaded down with about 30lbs of books which conversely cost about $13/lb. Upon arrival at the house, I collapsed on the couch in the one of two rooms that have A/C. Yes you read correctly. We're luckier than most. We have two as opposed to one or none. The rest of the house feels like a sauna. In fact, it's nicer to be outside so I think I will take another trip on the T - no backpack!
