Vacationland

This past weekend S and I went to visit a friend in Maine aka Vacationland. Previously, I had visited Maine for just a day when I visited the UMaine law school in Portland. This weekend we got to spend more time in the Great Outdoors. On our drive up, it seemed like everyone coming in and out of Maine had a mountain bike, canoe, or kayak. It was incredible. With every passing outdoorsperson, we got more and more excited. Finally we had arrived and much to our amusement and pleasure, our friend's home was right on the lake with an unimpeded view. Plus there were mountain bike/ATV trailheads about 500 yards or so from his driveway. His driveway! We were in heaven. He can ride, swim, canoe, kayak or fish every day if he chooses. Man... He is definitely living the good life.
