Happy Laborious Day

Last week I was soooo looking forward to the long weekend so that I could "get ahead" on my studies. What I didn't realize is that even though I didn't have a class today - it was only one class. So essentially, I was left with three hours of "free time" - not a lot when I had a bachelorette party to host on Friday, a rehearsal dinner to attend on Saturday night, a wedding and reception to attend Sunday night, and finally a brunch this morning. And thanks to the alcohol I consumed on those evenings, I wasn't worth a shiite until early afternoon which meant that the cases that I read that morning, I had to read again that afternoon. It's been a ridiculously painful and unproductive weekend in terms of preparation. So! All that I didn't get done must get done today and tomorrow night. More late nighters and no sleep for the weary. But... I did have a great time this weekend and I didn't stress about school at all. I kept putting it off until the next day. What I'm coming to realize is that I need time when I don't think about class or what needs to be done and to enjoy the moment. I think that can be best done by preparing one day at a time. Hopefully by doing so, I won't forget what I learned three days ago and I can apply what I learned today to the discussion that I'll have and the cases that I will brief tomorrow. Well gotta get back to it. CivPro, Property and LRW have my number today. Just three cases to brief. :-)
