Just a block away

This is Arnold Arboretum, a huge park (256 acres) with paved bike paths and also walking trails. It's like the Central Park of Boston. It's one of our favorite places as it's just around the corner from our house. I walk by it every day on my way to the T plus we love to take a stroll with Trudy. She loves it. The park is owned by the city but Harvard manages the education and research. It's the oldest arboretum in the country, and displays trees and shrubs from around the world, with special emphasis on plants native to Asia and New England. Each tree is tagged with its full name. It's really, really cool. I can't WAIT to see it this fall and in the winter.
